our PROFESSIONAL TELEPROMPTER solutions
Camera mounted Teleprompters are ubiquitous in film and video production. They help talent deliver their message precisely and with more confidence. They can reduce time on locations, making life less stressful for the talent and easier on the budget. We have many options from 12 up to 24 inches for on camera prompters, as well as solutions like under lens prompters for dollies and cranes, wireless setups for Steadicams, and monitors and stands for those wishing to do dialog, or are using non professional talent.
If you’re shooting on location, you may have many setups. Or, perhaps you want to use a matte box or change prime lenses throughout the production. All our on camera solutions allow for them to be mounted on a low-boy light stand, so the prompter can be placed in front of the lens and moved away quickly, giving the operator or DP time and space to make their changes. Shooting outside, or in a location without power? We got you covered!
Camera Mount / studio / on location

Prompt Productions offers myriad teleprompter solutions for live events. Have a message to deliver to your sales team in a hotel ballroom? Time to declare your candidacy and hit the campaign trail? Prompt Productions has you covered with presidential prompters, downstage confidence, and back of house solutions for all your live event needs.

Our Team
Experience.
Rick Arkels is not in short supply of that. After a nearly a decade in television production, Rick worked as an Associate Producer for SVI, in Chicago, for nearly another decade. During this time, he developed his production and professional skills rapidly, while always keeping a focus on how to continually improve the experience for the customer.
In 2018 Rick embarked on a freelance career as a producer, as well as returning to production roles. Looking for a niche in the industry, Rick began to notice that, while teleprompter operators were not necessarily in short supply, ones who had the ability to organize and manage a large, complex show while maintaining a rapport with executives and performers while demonstrating proficiency and speed with the show software are. So, in 2019 Rick purchased some used teleprompting equipment and with some barely functional software, added this skill to his repertoire, providing this service to several clients while slowly adding to equipment list.
Then in 2020 things began to really pick up with virtual events during the COVID panic. While not really seeing a slowdown in other production work he was involved, Rick dove headfirst into virtual events, becoming first call for several large production/event companies. As things moved slowly back towards normal, he purchased high end monitors and updated equipment.
Today, Rick is owner of Prompt Productions, one of the most well-equipped and well rounded teleprompter solutions in the country. But equipment and gear aside, the real reason for the success of the business is in Rick’s professionalism, personality and patience, which is what makes any production package complete.
